The #Mattapoisett Police Department is pleased to announce the promotions of Officer Justin King to Sergeant and Sergeant Jason King to Interim Captain.
At tonight’s Board of Selectmen Meeting both Sergeant Justin King and Captain Jason King were promoted in front of a packed room of family, friends, colleagues, and town residents.
Sergeant Justin King was appointed as full-time police officer in 1997. During that time he has served as one of the departments motorcycle officers, Commander of the SEMLEC Mobile Operations Unit and the department Safety Officer. Sergeant King holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and enrolled in Master’s Program at UMASS-Lowell.
Captain Jason King was appointed as full-time police officer in 1994, then promoted to Sergeant in 2003. During that time Captain King has served as department detective and Unit Commander of the SEMLEC Detective Unit. Captain King holds a Master degree in Criminal Justice from UMASS-Lowell
