As Halloween approaches, so does the #Mattapoisett Police Halloween Parade. The parade is over 70 years old and started as a bike safety rodeo. Recently, early footage of this parade was made available to the police department. Below is the link to the earliest footage we have of the parade which dates in the 1940’s. Each week we will post a video from the next decade as they become available. The police department would like to thank the family of the late #Mattapoisett Police Chief Alden Kinney for donating the film to the Mattapoisett Police Officers Association.
